Network install from a minimal CD. A network install or netinst CD is a single CD which enables you to install the entire operating system. This single CD contains just the minimal amount of software to start the installation and fetch the remaining packages over the Internet. Etherboot mode is a special state for a MikroTik device that allows you to reinstall your device using Netinstall. There are several ways to put your device into Etherboot mode depending on your device you are using. Reset button. The Reset can be found on all MikroTik devices, this button can be used to put the device into Etherboot mode. CentOS 8 DVD ISO installation image is very large in size. If you have limited internet connection, or a low capacity (< 8 GB) USB thumb drive, then CentOS 8 DVD ISO installation image is not a good choice for you. A better solution for you in that case is using the CentOS 8 NetBoot/NetInstall ISO installation image. It's about 500-600 MB in size and will fit in even as small as 1 GB USB NetInstall is a program that runs on Windows computer that allows you to install MikroTiK RouterOS onto a PC or onto a RouterBoard via an Ethernet network. NetInstall is also used to re-install RouterOS in cases where the the previous install failed, became damaged or access passwords were lost. Small CDs or USB sticks. The following are image files. NetInstall can also directly install RouterOS on a disk (USB/CF/IDE/SATA) that is connected to the Netinstall Windows machine. After installation just move the disk to the Router machine and boot from it. User Interface.
